Gavin DeGraw Puts on a Show at Children's

Like a little boy mezmerized, he fell in the love with the model train display in the lobby of the hospital. Like a weary traveler on a 30-city tour, he craved a cup of "cafeteria coffee." And like the charming, soulful crooner that he is, Gavin DeGraw captivated his audience of pint-sized patients and their (primarily female!) caretakers yesterday at Children's Medical Center.

DeGraw, who's on a national tour promoting his album FREE, stopped by Children's before his gig at the Loft to perform an acoustic set for the kids. He lifted their spirits with inspiring songs like "Mountains to Move" and "Chariot."

After his performance, the soft-spoken singer/songwriter made time to visit with the patients, sign autographs and pose for pictures. And to say thank you, some of the kids (with help from the music therapists on staff) played Gavin some music of their own.
